About this service
When a multi split is the right answer
Multi split suits properties that need more than one room covered but where ducted is impractical — older buildings with no ceiling space, apartments, extensions, or homes where only certain rooms need conditioning.
It also helps where outdoor space is tight. One outdoor unit serving four indoor heads takes up far less room than four separate systems, which matters on a small balcony or a narrow side passage.
Installation and repairs
We size and install multi split systems, replace and upgrade existing ones, and handle servicing and repairs including fault finding, refrigerant leak detection and gas recharging.
Indoor units can be mixed across types, so you might have wall mounted units in bedrooms and a ceiling cassette in a living area on the same system.
Good to know
Multi Split Systems: your questions answered
How many rooms can one multi split system cover?
It depends on the outdoor unit you choose and the size of the rooms. We work out the right combination on site rather than guessing from the room count alone.
Is a multi split cheaper than several separate split systems?
It uses one outdoor unit instead of several, which saves outdoor space and usually simplifies the install. Whether it works out cheaper overall depends on the property, so we quote both where either would work.
Can I run different room types on the same multi split?
Yes. Indoor unit types can be mixed on one system — wall mounted in bedrooms and a ceiling cassette in a living area, for example.
Do you repair multi split systems?
Yes. Repairs, servicing, fault finding, refrigerant leak detection and gas recharging are all covered.
