About this service
Where VRV and VRF are used
VRV and VRF systems suit buildings where many separate areas need independent control from one plant installation — offices, retail stores, warehouses, medical centres and strata properties.
Because output is varied rather than switched on and off, these systems handle buildings whose zones have very different loads through the day, such as a sunny meeting room and an internal storeroom on the same floor.
Installation, servicing and breakdowns
We install VRV and VRF systems, service and maintain them, and repair them when they fail. That includes fault finding and diagnostics, refrigerant leak detection, nitrogen pressure testing and vacuum testing, and component work such as compressors, fan motors, sensors and PCBs.
Emergency air conditioning breakdowns are covered, which matters when a commercial building loses conditioning during trading hours.
Good to know
VRV & VRF Systems: your questions answered
What is the difference between VRV and VRF?
They describe the same approach — varying refrigerant flow to each indoor unit. VRV is one manufacturer’s term for it; VRF is the general industry term. We work on both.
Do you maintain VRV and VRF systems as well as install them?
Yes. Preventative and scheduled maintenance are available, which for commercial plant usually works out better than waiting for a failure.
What happens if a commercial system fails outside business hours?
We carry out breakdown and emergency repairs for air conditioning and refrigeration. Our normal hours are Monday to Friday and Sunday, 7am to 5pm — for a breakdown outside those hours, call and we will tell you what we can do.
Do you work on VRV and VRF in strata buildings?
Yes. Strata properties are among the client types we work with across our Sydney service area.
